Our technology partners & international data transfers

At Jolly Learning, we carefully select the organisations that help us deliver our websites, digital services and educational platforms.
These organisations, known as subprocessors, provide services such as website hosting, payment processing, customer support, analytics and learning management. Where they process personal information on our behalf, they are required to do so under written agreements that include appropriate confidentiality, security and data protection obligations.
We regularly review our suppliers to help ensure they continue to meet our security, privacy and compliance standards.
The table below provides an overview of the key subprocessors we use, the services they provide and, where applicable, the safeguards used when personal information is transferred internationally.
Please note that this list reflects the subprocessors used at the time this document was last reviewed. As our products and services evolve, we may add, remove or replace suppliers. Where this happens, we will update this page accordingly.

Additional website applications
Our online stores also use a number of approved Shopify applications to provide functionality such as product reviews, merchandising, inventory synchronisation, loyalty programmes, affiliate management and other ecommerce features. These applications are reviewed periodically and only process personal information where necessary to provide the relevant functionality and are subject to our supplier review process. A detailed technical inventory is maintained internally by Jolly Learning.
International data transfers
Some of our technology partners may process personal information outside the United Kingdom or European Economic Area in order to provide the services we use.
Where this occurs, Jolly Learning takes appropriate steps to ensure personal information continues to receive a high level of protection. Depending on the supplier and destination country, these safeguards may include:
- UK adequacy regulations;
- the UK International Data Transfer Agreement (IDTA);
- the UK Addendum to the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs);
- the UK-US Data Bridge (where applicable); or
- other legally recognised safeguards under applicable data protection law.
Where available, we have identified the primary safeguard used by each supplier in the table above.

How we review our suppliers
Protecting the personal information entrusted to us is an important part of how we design and deliver our products and services.
Before engaging a new supplier that may process personal information on our behalf, we consider factors such as:
- the nature of the service being provided;
- the supplier's security and privacy practices;
- where personal information will be stored or processed;
- the contractual safeguards in place; and
- the supplier's ability to meet applicable data protection requirements.
This page is reviewed at least annually as part of Jolly Learning's privacy governance programme.
