April has been a Jolly Phonics trainer since 2014. Her main focus has been training teachers at international schools in Tokyo, particularly those working with early years.
As a school director and parent of bilingual children April runs parent information sessions for expats and guidance for supporting children at home, particularly if the children attend Japanese school, to ensure a firm foundation in phonics, reading and writing in English.
