As part of the ongoing mentoring programme for teachers at Classroom in the Clouds, a comprehensive five-day training has been designed to strengthen their understanding and practical application of the Jolly Phonics methodology. The sessions will provide teachers with hands-on experience, enabling them to confidently implement strategies in their classrooms. The training will include a thorough revision of Step 1, ensuring a strong foundation, followed by an in-depth focus on Steps 2 and 3 to further develop their teaching of reading and spelling skills. In addition, teachers will learn the effective use of Jolly Classroom resources and Jolly Assessments, equipping them with the tools to plan, deliver, and evaluate their lessons more successfully.

Shainaz is a Jolly Phonics Trainer Consultant with 25 years of experience, dedicated to bringing the Jolly methodology to remote and underprivileged communities. She has conducted trainings across rural regions in India, including Ladakh, Tripura, Arunachal Pradesh, Manipur, Uttar Pradesh, and Nagaland. Globally, she has trained over 25,000 teachers in Cambodia, Nepal, Bangladesh, Oman, Ethiopia, Kenya, the UAE, and Brunei. She has collaborated with multiple education ministries in India and abroad, and actively supports not-for-profit teacher training initiatives through organizations like the Akanksha Foundation and Aga Khan Foundation.
